Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

This policy explains how we use personal information when you visit our website, contact us or sign up for Dyg updates or early-access information. It covers the holding website. Use of our application, pilot programmes and other services will be covered by privacy information provided when those services are available.

1. Who we are

Dyg It Ltd, trading as Dyg ("we", "us" or "our"), is responsible for the personal information described in this policy and is its data controller.

Company number: 17183746. Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.

Privacy contact: Jamie Corker — [email protected]. Website: www.dyg-it.co.uk.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the website, we collect:

Contact and enquiry information: your name, email address, telephone number, business name and the contents of messages you choose to send.

Sign-up information: your email address and any other details requested on the sign-up form, together with a record of your communication preferences and consent.

Technical information: information processed by our website hosting and security services, such as IP address, browser and device information, access times and error or security logs.

We receive information directly from you and, for technical and usage information, through the website and its service providers. Please do not submit passwords, sensitive personal information or confidential information through general enquiry forms.

3. How we use information and our lawful bases

UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for using personal information.

Responding to enquiries and maintaining relevant correspondence — we rely on legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us and developing business relationships.

Taking steps you request before entering a contract with you personally — we rely on taking steps at your request before entering a contract.

Sending the Dyg launch, early-access or product emails you opt into — we rely on your consent.

Operating, troubleshooting and securing the website — we rely on legitimate interests in providing a functioning, secure website and preventing misuse.

Recording consent and honouring unsubscribe requests — we rely on legitimate interests in demonstrating permission and respecting communication preferences, and on legal obligation where applicable.

When relying on legitimate interests, we consider the impact on your rights and use information only where those interests are not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights.

Providing enquiry or sign-up information is voluntary. If you do not provide the contact details needed for a response or sign-up, we cannot provide that response or send the requested emails. You can still browse the website.

4. Emails and your choices

If you choose to receive Dyg launch, early-access or product updates, we use your details for the types of emails described on the sign-up form.

You can withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew consent.

Sending us an enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. We may reply to your enquiry without adding you to a marketing list.

We keep a minimum record of an unsubscribe request so that we can avoid contacting you again against your wishes.

5. Who we share information with

We share personal information where necessary with providers that support the website and our communications, including: website hosting and form services (GoDaddy) and email services (Google).

We also share with professional advisers, regulators or public authorities where necessary for legal advice, compliance or establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.

Providers acting as our processors handle information on our instructions under appropriate agreements. Where a provider acts as an independent controller for particular activities, its own privacy notice applies to those activities.

We do not sell personal information or share website enquiry or sign-up details with builders' merchants for their own marketing.

6. International transfers

Where we make a restricted transfer of personal information outside the UK, we ensure an applicable UK adequacy arrangement or other legally permitted safeguard is in place. These may include the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to EU Standard Contractual Clauses, where appropriate.

You can contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your information and how to obtain a copy.

7. How long we keep information

General enquiries: up to 12 months after our last substantive contact, unless the enquiry develops into an ongoing relationship or we need records for a legal matter.

Launch and early-access sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or we close the relevant list. We review the list at least annually and remove information no longer needed for its stated purpose.

Marketing consent records: while we rely on the consent and for any further period reasonably needed to demonstrate compliance or address a complaint.

Unsubscribe records: minimum contact information for as long as necessary to honour your opt-out.

If information is needed for a legal obligation, dispute or claim, we retain the relevant records for the applicable period. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for its operation and, where configured, analytics or other optional features.

Where consent is required, we ask before using the relevant technology. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings, although blocking some technologies may affect website functionality.

9. Protecting information

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, proportionate to the information we hold and the risks involved. Access is limited to people and providers who need it for the purposes described in this policy.

No website or email system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive information through general website forms or ordinary email.

10. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may have the right to: obtain access to your personal information; ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information; ask us to erase information; ask us to restrict its use; object to processing based on legitimate interests; receive certain information in a portable format; and withdraw consent where we rely on it.

You have an absolute right to object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing.

To exercise a right, contact us using the details above. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month, subject to any extensions or exceptions permitted by law.

11. Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your information, please contact us so we can investigate.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or by post to: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.
